Does the Spread of ICT Enhance Income Inequality?

The vast progress of ICT has widely changed human beings life. This revolutionary phenomenon not only benefits to societies but also can make some difficulties. Current paper investigates the effect of ICT on income inequality. The hypothesis is based on skill-biased technological change literature that claims the spread of ICT increases wage inequality in labor markets. Accordingly, it is used the data containing 196 countries in 1960-2007 period. The evidence strongly suggests that ICT’s boom enhances the level of inequality
